BEGINNER
The student is often a new arrival with little preview knowledge
English with limited vocabulary. They lack sufficient vocabulary and
oral comprehension to be able to follow directions or do simple
classroom assignments. They has a participatory style later, as a
teacher we will use commonly use words into the classroom to create
for the student interest to learn. They need to use a beginner workout
routine in order to get their best results and also they need know key
phrases and expressions that the student will use to communicate with
teacher and classmate. The students can develop the type of
communication skills to interact into the classroom and to facilitate
the learning process.
As a teacher we will use several strategies to facilitate in our
students the knowledge, maybe we can use the strategy called Total
physical response to help the students in these early stages of
language development when new words are introduce, related to everyday
situations into the classroom, other activities that should be useful
are; practice and reading stories to found new words, picture to make
vocabulary, and repetition of drills that will help them to develop
listening and comprehension skills.
INTERMEDIATE
These students pparticipate in the most common and social activities
and they will follow direction adequately. The vocabulary is limited
but rapidly improving. The students may feel comfortable into the
classroom to respond orally, despite frequent errors and incorrect
word selection to learn make a self correction. They constantly are
adding to his/her knowledge of vocabulary. Their speech still exhibits
a considerate accent, but grammar and vocabulary errors should be
receding. The students make their own opportunity for practice because
they are interested in the language as a communication to enjoyin
games, group work in class focused in social interaction.
ADVANCED
These students are being able to participate in a classroom activities
and social interaction, in this level they has a high motivation
level. They generate reason to communicate and to stimuli their
knowledge. They follow their own experience in the learning process.
The advanced student can create new meaning in the process of
communication; they work in cooperative learning because they must
have in their learning an active constructive process to bring their
experience according to the situation or context. They has a high
level in the communicative skills. The teacher will give the
strategies like: work in cooperative learning, oral expressions,
debate, show and tell, feedback, and also the use of thematic unit
plan as a micro class in which they should demonstrate their skills.
My advice: As a future teacher is important knows our audience, know
their needs. What we will teach, what do student need to learn, what
resources are available for our students. Teachers who work with
learners in a second language will apply several strategies and
activities to help the student be motivate to learn in their learning
and teaching process, the teacher should be creative and use dynamic
activities to develop their knowledge
